FAQ

How do I get there, and when do I need to be there?

The ceremony and reception will take place starting at 4pm at the Gramercy Mansion, located near Pikesville, MD. Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of time to accommodate parking and getting settled in. If weather permits, the ceremony will take place outside. For more information, see our location page.

Is there parking?

There is ample parking available. If you are staying at the B&B, there will be a spot assigned for your car. If you are arriving from elsewhere, there is a lower lot you will be directed to that has a wealth of parking. Anyone with mobility issues can be dropped off at the front entrance, and we can direct them to a handicap entrance. Please let us know  how we can best help.

What do I wear?

Weather permitting, both the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, so dress so that you are comfortable outside and on grass. The ceremony is secular, so no head attire is needed unless you would like to keep the sun off your face. The reception will take place inside, and the B&B has both heating and AC.

The overall attire is black-tie optional/semi-formal. Groomsmen will be in tuxedos. Thus for men, suits with tie are ideal and if you really want to flaunt a tuxedo go for it. For women, a dress, long separates or pantsuit in a neutral tone or spring-hue (nothing too flashy), with dress shoes is ideal. The ceremony may be outside, weather permitting, so please dress so you are comfortable (and perhaps leave the stilettos at home so you don’t sink into the grass). Liz will be wearing white, so out of respect for modern tradition, please do not wear white.

Where can I stay?

There are a few locations we recommend:

  1. Check to see if the Gramercy Mansion has any more rooms left; please note it is a bed and breakfast and likely not ideal for large parties
  2. Alternatively, we would recommend staying at the Double Tree in Pikesville (10 minutes away) or Residence Inn by Marriot (15-20 minutes).

Do let us know where you end up staying, and if you need transportation from a local guide from the airport. As we noted on the location page, we recommend booking your airline through Baltimore/Washington International (BWI).

What are we eating? If I have a dietary restriction, can I let you know?

We are planning to have a cocktail hour followed by a buffet with an open bar, out of our love for not having someone predetermine how much food we can fit on our plates — Mike is a big fan of large portions. If you have any dietary restrictions, let us know either directly via email or when you RSVP. The caterer will also have kid-friendly options. We have already begun working with our caterer to best accommodate these requests — you will not go hungry!

Do you have a hashtag?

The code we have settled on however is #liznmike2019 — Liz had jokingly used #Newcoe #NewcoeWedding — a combination of Mike and Liz’s lastnames (#Sorury was a little too awkward). But we think this is simpler!
